Cruising around Pinup Lifestyle the other day I came across a pic by Tuck that just struck me (it's the last picin this set)

I dropped a note to Edson, aka DaddyCool, and asked who the model was.
now don't get me wrong, Tuck took a kick ass pic, but the model is what jumped out at me

Edson said, "Thats Brittany Jean, she's an amazing doll!"

and I have to agree... so I thought I'd share

I am serious about modeling. It's my passion, my dream, my complete obsession. Being in front of the camera is what I live for, and the only thing that makes sense. I do not have a "back up" plan because I don't plan on being successful elsewhere. I am currently represented by Pinnacle10, EMG, and Wings Model Management.

I am the owner of Sidhe Designs, a costume and fashion design business. Together with my best friend, Anna, we create unique couture designs for costumes, everyday wear, and special events.

I am the type of girl who can find the beauty and positive side of any situation. I think people are good in general, and everyone deserves the chance to prove themselves. I am always thinking, always creating something.

I may come off as sweet and innocent, but trust that I'm no baby doll. I know more than you think; I know everything that's going on -- I'm just trying to figure out if you do.

Richard Fuggetta aka Rockabilly Richie

A couple of days ago I posted a Marilyn Monroe tribute on this site and I posted about it over on Pinup Lifestyle

one of the members there, Rockabilly Richie to be precise, is an artist and he commented that he had just finished a Marilyn Monroe digital painting
so I trot my ass over to his pic area and there it is and in fact it is a digital version of one of my favorite Marilyn pics

I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you that he is working on a book called Garage Dolls (several images in this post are from the preview) and as of February 19 out of 30 images are really to roll.

oh and he paints scenery for movies,TV, Broadway, pin up art, band posters and logos
and murals.. don't forget murals

If you've been around for a while you might remember a feature I did on Richie back in December of 2008
The artist category on My Favorite Pinups was created for that post.

and here I am a year and a half showing off this mans talent once again

What I really like about Richie's work is the ability to not on recreate a photo digitally, but to add his own artistic touch
the colors are vivid, the lines are crisp where they need to be and soft where called for
and in the Marilyn pic he captures vulnerability in her eyes

Marilyn Monroe

Let me tell you a little bit about my very first crush.
When I was just a kid, sometime in the early-mid 70's, I saw a movie called "Some Like It Hot"

I saw only 6 or 7 years old and I just fell in love with this very funny, very pretty lady on my television
I wanted her to be my girlfriend and give her a kiss

My mom told me later that Marilyn Monroe died on August 5th 1962, 6 years before I was born.

The first two images in this set are the very first two pictures I ever owned and hung on my wall for years
and, believe it or not, I still have them

I don't see a reason for me get into the details of her death, many other people before me have done that and still do that.
For me today is a reason to give pause and look at some pictures of someone I never met and yet still care for deeply.

The images I give you today are but a small portion of a personal collection culled from the interweb over a number of years and they represent some of my favorites
To me Marilyn Monroe wasn't always about her sex appeal, or her body. It was the vulnerability she projected, and expressiveness in her face and eyes
I'm always amazed that she can look so sad in some shots, and so playful in the same pictorial.

Over the years people around me have always gifted me with posters, images, magazines and videos of Marilyn
When I was in my early teens my father bought me a blonde on blonde Fender P-Bass that I promptly named Marilyn, and I decorated the inner case with postcards and images of Marilyn Monroe.

I've tried to pass my love of Marilyn Monroe on to my children, showing them the same movies that my mother showed me.
My youngest has claimed my "ballerina" picture as her own.
The pic she is referring to is the second picture up top of this post, Marilyn in a white dress

Dear Marilyn Monroe,

Thank you for sharing your on screen and off screen life with me
I wish you well and hope you found the peace you sought after and rightly deserve.

A while back I did a feature on Mark Anthony Lacy and Unlimited... I was surfing around and saw a couple pics that I pegged as his strictly from the quality of the shots
and I found a whole set that Mark took of Brandy D'Vinn

Now this girl is on the high side of tall at 5'11" without the heels and 32-22-35

I'm a jack of all trades and I bore easily so I've indulged in many forms of art. Painting, singing, dancing, animation, acting, theater, music, photography, and design have always been a major part of my life. Before I was ever a model, I was an artist. I am well versed in a multitude of creative ventures. In every photo you see in this portfolio the makeup and hair was done by myself. I also design web pages and retouch photos for a living. The question is; what don't I do?

I am very professional, drug free, on time, and well prepared for shoots. I have an extensive wardrobe with a variety of fun and unique clothing and costumes that look great in photos and film. I am a thrift store nut so over the years I have managed to gather an extensive collection of vintage dresses from the 50s-70s. I am in love with Japanese anime so I have quite a collection of cosplay costumes as well. I also have a wonderful array of fetish wear, corsets, stockings, lingerie, and funky shoes. I am very easy to work with, fun, eccentric, and open-minded. I'm a photographer and an artist myself, plus I'm married to a world renowned sculptor, so I take direction well and know what it takes to get just the right shot.

Please note that I only do extremely limited TFP for close friends or well established photographers that I can learn something from (I do photography myself). I will NOT shoot nudes for TFP, so don't bother asking. Considering that I have been professionally modeling since I was fourteen and am very experienced, I am only seeking paid work at this time. My rates are very reasonable. I am always open to traveling. I'll be in your area when someone or you purchases a plane ticket for me!

Just because I shoot nudes, does not mean I am willing to shoot pornography. I will never do any gratuitous crotch or ass shots; so if this is what you are looking for, please don't bother to contact me.

A while back I received an e-mail from Brooklyn from Spin-ups.com asking if I would review her site.
She even offered me a "reviewer password" so I could see the whole site in action.

I told her sure, but to expect an honest review...
so here we go

I can honestly say that she is adorable and in my opinion the best girl on the site.
She also the most "pin-up"
21 yr old Krystal pulls a close second in pulling off a pinup look.

Don't get me wrong, all the girls are gorgeous.
If you peek you'll get the impression of dancers, bunnies, suicide girls, pics in that vein
and there is not one damn thing wrong with that

I hope in the future the girls do a more classic pinup look and I have a few idea of shoots they can do ;)
can I get a consulting position Brooklyn? LOL

The technology is awesome. It's an interactive 360� view that really has the feel of a short movie that you can control.
I expected something like the bullet time effect in The Matrix, a static shot from several angles that you can rotate.
What I got was more like a short movie. When you pan left and right the image changes and I felt more like I was walking around a live model. for example Brooklyn's head turns and her eyes follow you as you pan and til your way around her.

The software could use a few tweaks... the biggest one I saw was when I zoomed in on a pic I was unable to recenter the pic or more it around to zoom in on different features.
There was one set where I really want to trace the line from Brooklyn's jaw thru the breast line because the shot was quite nice.
the zoom would up in the wrong spot and I was unable to move it around.

But I have to say this is very innovative and I'm loving the technology.

Brooklyn told me in an e-mail - "I want this to be the best it can be, not just innovative for the sake of interactive novelty alone, that's for sure."

so enough about the technology, even though it is really really cool

The girls are sexy and dress the part, there are a fair amount of topless shots, but no straight up pink shots(I know you know what I mean)
Think Playboy not Penthouse

One of my critera for a good pinup shots is allure not blantant smut shots. Brooklyn and her crew meet that and then some

The a virtual world where there are millions of porn site vying for your hard earned dollars, it's refreshing to find a site where it's about more than just getting your rocks off

so keep an eye on this site folks... I think in the long run you'll be glad that you did

I spent two solid days going thru the entire site looking at pics and grabbing the ones I liked

When I started writing this post today there were over 50 images in my scratch directory and I have a helluva time limiting it to the 10 you see here
It took a couple hours and I shuffled my pics at least a dozen times
even now I think I should switch a few

His pics are clean and crisp, the setups highlight the girls and all their assets
Some of the set are inside some outside, and the outside sets are just beautiful
Dairy Del and the drive in are just two examples
The in house sets are very cool too like the bedroom set
The pics on the stark white backdrop qualify as "OH MY!"

A Different Kind of Pinup Calendar

This is odd and damn cool
EIZO, a medical imaging compant, wanted a unique calendar to hand out to their clients and potential clients
Duesseldorf, Germany based BUTTER came up with one helluva concept if you ask me

EIZO medical imaging high precision displays for the examination and diagnosis of radiographs. Whereas craftsmen are showered with pin-up-calendars at the end of every year, this kind of present is less popular among medics. EIZO breaks this taboo. This pin-up calendar shows absolutely every detail.

Tessa LeTaunt is a 5'4" doll hailing from Texas and currently based out of Kansas City Missouri
Plenty of times I have no idea why a girls pic catches my attention and I never argue with it.

After emerging from my little "goth phase" in high school, my love for black hair dye needed something else to move on to.
Cry baby was one of my favorite movies as a kid.
Traci Lords was a total fox as Wanda, and she alone shaped my interests in all things feminine.
I loved her style, her spunk, and above all else; her hair.
I gathered the guts when I was 16, and hacked off my bangs in inspiration.
They were short, blunt, and to the point, but since my hair was black rather than blonde like Traci's, my final result was the iconic Bettie Page hairstyle that I currently rock today.
Growing up in Texas, I was surrounded by southern music.
I couldn't stand a larger percentage of it, but grew fond of the likes of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Aaron Elvis Presley.
I still listen to the classics and keep an ear out for those that thrive to keep rockabilly music alive.
These things, plus a few other personal loves, interests, and experiences helped to mold my adoration toward the Pin Up lifestyle.
As far as burlesque goes, I can honestly say I can recollect my very first exposure to the art.
It was 2003, and I was watching The Sharon Osbourne Show. Marilyn Manson was being interviewed when a clip of his then girlfriend, Dita Von Teese was shown performing at the Osbourne's New Years Eve party.
I had known *of* her far before this point, but had only ever assumed she was merely famous thanks to her significant counterpart.
I had performed ballet for six years up until a year before having been introduced to the art of the tease, and to see her perform en pointe sparked my enthusiasm and inspired me to dig deeper into the history of burlesque.
Shortly after my eighteenth birthday, I found myself loving the attention of cameras, and began to pursue my dreams of Pin Up modeling as well as modeling for local clothing designers on the runway.
Shortly after, I took on an independent burly-q career and began providing tasteful adult entertainment at parties.

Looking at her pics I find myself drawn to the simple things.
She got great eyes, very expressive and green :)
the line of her cheek draws your eyes from hairline to chin so very easily

The pics I selected are but a few that I found scattered across the net
I think she needs her own website to keep em all in one place

Adrianne Curry

I couple of the boards I hang out on give Adrianne Curry a lot of shit for being an "attention whore" blah blah and all that shit
So what she's done a couple reality shows and married a Brady(his name is Christopher Knight by the way)

When I used to do a show on a social broadcasting network called NowLive with my friend Tommy D, Adrianne Curry had her show in the slot before us.
There were plenty of times when she would call into Tommy's show and just hang out and shoot the shit with us

I found her to be engaging, silly, funny, and a complete trip
She may not remember the experience, but I do
She's a celebrity that enjoys hanging out with people and having a good time.

I still follow her on twitter, myspace, facebook, and other media
She was in Milwaukee recently and I heard her and Chris do an interview on a local radio station
The two of them appear to have a great relationship and have a lot of fun together

now you may ask why did I put her on a pinup site?
well I believe she has a fair amount of pinup style shots, if not actual pinup shots
She's versatile and funny and that feeds in to how I see a good pinup
She rather pretty, great eyes, and a kicker smile

plus it's my site and I can do what I want to

She's a total sci-fi chick and I love that in a woman
If you hit her myspace or facebook you'll see her at conventions and halloween dressed as Princess Leia, Leeloo, Wonder Woman and other characters

I think that the media outlets busting her chops for being herself need to leave the girl alone.
She's an over the top person who speaks her mind, does what she feels and has a blast doing it.
